Aethusa Cynapium is one of the best remedies for vomiting in children. Especially during hot summer weather. This remedy was proved by Nening in 1828.


Aethusa Cynapium Clinical


Brain fag, Cholera Infantum, Convulsion, Cough, Delirium, Dyspepsia, Epilepsy, Headaches, Hiccough, Idioty, Infantile paralysis, Intolerance of milk. Disorder of the stomach, vomiting, etc


Sphere of action


It acts on the Nervous system, glandular system, mucous membrane, and skin


Pathogenesis


This remedy has narcotic properties as well as paralysis effects. Especially the principal use of this remedy is for problems arising from the stomach.


Aethusa Cynapium Constitution


Features of pain and anxiety, Herpetic eruption at the end of the nose, Sunkenness in the face with marked linga nasalis, Physically the child is so weak that he is unable to stand up or hold up his head.


Temperament: Mentally the patient is idiotic, confused, and unable to think
Relation between heat and cold: Hot patient
Miasm: It touches all 3 miasms in the acute state


Guiding symptoms

Some of it’s guiding symptoms include:-

  1. The patient has an intolerance to milk in any form. He will start to vomit immediately after consuming milk
  2. Most of the time, the patient is unable to digest properly. Vomits all of a sudden and violently
  3. The complete absence of thirst is very striking as a symptom
  4. The patient or the child is physically weak and all of a sudden can’t stand up or hold their head properly
  5. The patient all of a sudden experiences significant anxiety and pain.
  6. The patient is mentally immature and idiotic.

It has relation similar to Antim, Crud, Arsenic, Calcarea carb

While not much but it mostly similar to Calcarea carb

It’s mostly antidote by vegetable acids
It antidotes Opium, Aconite in inflammatory conditions
